To EchoFX: That's exactly what I was looking for and is just my speed: I so appreciate you help. I was contemplating abandoning the effort as just another of my hair brained ideas. To make it clear what we do: we provide drivers for various USB 1.1 devices, via the USBVision software, and various USB 2.0 devices, via VideoGlide. You will want a VideoGlide compatible device. And -yes, it will do exactly what you want and it will do it on Mac OS X -we don't do Windows here.

Again, I recommend the xlr8.com XtraView USB device. It is simple and inexpensive, but you might be able to pinch some pennies with a Kworld device, but remember that the XLR8 device comes bundled with the EchoFX software, whereas the Kworld one will require a separate purchase of the $29.94 VideoGlide software from EchoFX. Hope that helps, Support EchoFX, Inc.
